BE THE LEADER YOU ARE LOOKING FOR

Talking about African leaders, I got this from one of my chat groups:

*"We need leaders not in love with money but in love with Justice; not in love with publicity but in love with humility. "*

Once, when people were asked to say the type of leaders they wanted for Africa, many of those who responded talked of leaders who love their people; who are honest, selfless, dedicated and who will promote justice. Some talked of leaders who are brave enough to fight for their people. Others  talked of leaders with a democratic mindset, who will promote democracy in their countries.

QUESTION:

You who are a leader in one way or another, are you the type of leader you like?

Why can't we be the leader we are looking for? If you are a leader in your family,  why can't you be the type of leader you are looking for at the helm of your country? If you are a leader in your work place,  your church, your community,  you should be the type of leader you are looking for at the head of your country. If that lower position, you aren't the leader you are looking for, what is the guarantee that if tomorrow you happen to be the leader of your country you will become  the leader you are looking for?

In your family stop being like the leader at the top that you are criticizing.  Be the leader you are looking for. Simple!

All of us must be good leaders wherever we find ourselves. Don't be condemning others for being bad leaders when you are not a good leader yourself in your little corner.

If we are not leading where we are as the leader we are looking for at the helm of our country, now is the time to change our leadership style so that we can have the moral authority to call any leader going wrong to order. Let's go.
